For the past few years, our company has hired David K. Young Consulting to process our 1094-C and 1095-C filings. They are expensive but we needed the service and it is required by law that companies file every year. We hired DK Young in good faith and trusted they would take care of this very important and time filing. The first year we used them, there were not any problems. The years following have been complete nightmares. We have been contacted by the *** TWICE stating 1095s have not been filed for two different years. It took an act of congress to get the first year reported not filed, handled and the *** gave us a pass - no penalties. We started hearing from the *** over a year ago that yet another year has not been filed by DK Young. This did not stop them from repeatedly sending us invoices for the jobs. Of course we did not pay until we got confirmation the 1095s had been filed. Their excuses range from sick leave, maternity leave, and every other excuse. You literally cannot get the owner's daughter on the phone to even go over the issue. I just so happened to get lucky and after about 20 calls (their reception screens thoroughly so no one takes your calls) I was able to talk to the owner's daughter. I told her we are looking at high penalties and she told me the 1095s WERE indeed filed. DK Young will provide no proof and now the *** wants proof, of course. I told the daughter that it was imperative and urgent that we provide proof to the *** that this was done. She had the nerve to tell me that they did not process the filings because the bill was not paid. So NOW, they aren't processed?? HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE when the invoice is always sent after the filings to calculate the cost? If she did not process our 1095s then why is her company sending MULTIPLE invoices for a job that was never done? I told her we would be happy to pay the bill for services they say were rendered but now they refuse to take our calls or help us.
