Complaint: Aire Serve Heating and Air Conditioning of Austin "fixed" the water dripping out the overflow pipe on my air conditioner last September. The next morning I awoke to water dripping down the wall, and ceiling below the air conditioner in the attic.I immediately called Aire Serve back. Another serviceman came and fixed a problem created by the first serviceman, a separated pipe. Later I discovered mold growing in the bathroom linen closet .After having gone through extensive testing and treatment to alleviate the mold problem, I called Aire Serve to find out if they had liability insurance. The owner was extremely rude and denied any involvement. He told me If I had serviced my air conditioner this would never have happened. What preventative servicing my unit has to do with negligence on the serviceman's part is beyond me. Now I have a big bill for mold remediation and have to disclose this problem when I sell my house Beware, all the bull in their fancy web page does not mean a thing. They do not stand behind their work!!
Desired Settlement: Reimburse me for expenses incurred.
We have contacted the customer and have an appoint to go out to his property and see what damages have occurred.

Complaint: Aire-Serv refused repeatedly to say whether it would send a technician to my homed, despite being under contract with American Home Shield. The only contact with a technician resulted in his saying there was no paperwork. AHS said repeatedly that the paperwork had been sent, then re-sent it. Still, no response from Aire-Serv.
Desired Settlement: Their removal from the BBB. They're uniformly rated negatively on Yelp.
Business Response: We closed our office for the 4th of July weekend. We were closed from Friday through Sunday and had one technician on call. The technician was servicing emergency calls. American Home Shield did not send your call as an emergency. The answering service was answering calls for us and should have advised you the that office was closed and we would respond to you on Monday during office hours. If you were in need of emergency service then calling American Home Shield to expedite service would be your next step. American Home Shield was aware we were closed. We work through American Home Shield and they dictate what calls are emergency calls. The technician on call does not have access to our email. If you had called American Home Shield and requested that your call be expedited, then American Home Shield would have contacted our technician to ask him if he was able to except your call. If he wasn't able to then they would have transferred it to another company. You did not do these, hence, our technician on call could not respond to you until he had that paperwork. Giving us bad reviews before getting all the facts and complaining to the BBB is a great way to ruin small companies. We have great reviews on other sites and we care tremendously about our customers. However, we care about our employees even more. We wanted them to have some time off to regroup. Thank you for understanding.
