Read Complaint Details
Complaint: ****** re-leveled my house in 2005. This year, significant settling occurred resulting in numerous new cracks in brickwork, drywall and floor concrete. I called **** ****** in August expressing my concerns and he visited on August the 8th to assess the situation. He noted the back half of the house had settled due to a drainage problem. He verbally indicated the warranty would take care of the re-leveling and provided a proposal for $6,000+ to address the drainage. Note that a drainage problem was never noted during the re-leveling in 2005. I indicated I couldn't afford his work and that I would deal with the drainage issue myself (complete). In October I called him to get an estimate on breaking up some concrete to address a grading problem. He gave me an estimate over the phone and said he would come by later to assess in more detail. He never came by. I decided to address the grading issue myself. On October 27th I sent a registered letter to **** ****** requesting he honor the lifetime transferable warranty and re-level my house. As of 11/24/2015 he has not signed for the letter. On November the 5th I called him to verbally request he perform repairs per the warranty. I got his voice mail and left a message. He never returned my call.
Desired Settlement: Completely re-level my house per the warranty agreement, provide 3rd party report confirming the work was done properly (this report was provided when the house was originally re-leveled). If Mr. ****** decides he doesn't want to honor the warranty, he can issue me a full refund of the original $8,300 so that I can get another contractor to do it right.

Months we never signed for
Because we never got the letter. As far as re shimming the house we should be able to get it done in January 2016 but we will not provide additional engineering and no permit by the city is required, because no new work will be done. We will be lifting on the existing piles installed previously. I will call the customer ASAP to set up work for 2016. Thanks **** ******
