Worst ever. I had money coming out of my account and twice I went in and asked for help and all I got was they couldnt do anything. I asked them to please freeze my account until I could get it under control to figure out what was going on and they refused. I had contacted the companies to stop and they didnt so I ended up at $-400. There was one time, I had asked **** to wait to take my payment out and they didnt. RBFCU had it pending with only $16 in my account, overdrafted a payment by ****** for $0.52 since it showed negative with the **** payment pending and then, because now, with the overdraft payment I showed negative, they returned the **** payment. If thats not fraudulent practice, I dont know what is. Do not ever bank there. They are not for the customer and they have more fees and shady practices then I ever saw with my Chase account.Review from James H

DO NOT BANK HERE. RBFCU is the most pathetic banking institution ever...As a member of 10+ years, I can speak from experience when I tell you that RBFCU's quality of customer experience degrades further and further every year.I regret referring friends and family members over the last decade because RBFCU has shown me over and over again over the last few years that they DO NOT value their members long-term or not. I cannot wait to start banking with literally anyone else, I HATE RBFCU.Review from Mercedes R

***** was my loan specialist. I must admit, he was a very progressives down to earth and understanding associate/employee. Very easy to speak to and understand. Was able to help/assist me in understanding the terms of the loans and my best options for my need as well as affordability. Give that man a raise! Patient for certain, must be one of his virtures for certain. A great asset to RBFCU. Thank you for being such a great banking service. I love RBFCU. It is truly a credit union for the people, beings such as myself. Much Blessings and abundance for your associates/ employees that make RBFCU the banking services it be.Review from Lee T

To Whom It Concerns:Apologize in advance with my yelling. So I have been a member with you all since 2019-2020 and this is such a FREAKING CRAZY experience I have had with you all. So two times I have called since I lost access to my RBFCU APP. I no longer have any RBFCU info other then the following... 1. Username 2. Old password 3. Old phone# that I used to have. Then being told nothing you all can do other then wait for the affidavit via either email or mail. Once filled out go to the library print it out, get it notarized, then try to scan it either by email with a copy of DL that is the only way you will assist me other then by mail. Mind you thru these phone calls I have been told the following... 1st rep stated could mail the affidavit after I get notarized with a copy of DL. 2nd person by the name ******** stated if it was emailed to me that I could fill it out, print it,make a copy of my DL, then get it notarized then try to scan it via phone or scanner to you all. 3rd person by the name of ***** stated those are my only options to get my RBFCU app account updated with the right phone number, but when I asked to speak to the presidential office I was denied to be able to speak higher up. MIND YOU I WAS WILLING TO FILL OUT THE PAPERWORK, TAKE A PICTURE OF SS# AND DL AND MYSELF TO BE ABLE TO GET THIS RESOLVED BUT I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO DO ALL OF THIS IF I'M WILLING TO SEND YOU ALL OF THIS JUST NOT NOTARIZED. Especially when anybody can be able to basically notarize now days. I WILL NEVER EVER USE YOU OR BOA DUE TO THE WAYS YOU TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS!!Review from Tara F

I Have been a Customer for over 2 years. I will say regardless how this Turns out, As Long As My Complaint is filedThis is what Matters. Although, I have over drafted for 3 months, this last Month was ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. mind You, I Never Complain nor Make Complaints. $600. After I Had Just Received My Raise from Work. I Ask To Please look into this. I Did receive letters In regards to this, $600! I will Take this as far as I Need to! I Have Never Ever Asked for anything from ThemNot One Time. All I asked is for the overdrafted payments that were under $10, please refund me the $24 over draft fee. I Am Moving forward. Please look into this.Review from William T

They're more of a headache than the national banks. Save your time. Abysmal customer service and the rules don't make any sense. Everytime I've had an issue, it cannot be resolved due to their system that wouldn't be an issue anywhere else. So what was the last straw? I got laid off and forgot to cancel a reoccurring subscription. Their rules are that if the account stays negative for 45 days, they "charge off" the account (read deactivate it.) No biggie, I thought, as my next job started quickly and I'd be paid before then. Fast forward to Thanksgiving when I should've had my paycheck (minus the overdraft) and nothing is in my account. I also started getting automated messages stating my account was about to be gone for the reasons previously stated. No one is there on Thanksgiving, so I just have to wait for the next day. Black Friday comes and the paycheck (ACH) is shown is shown but isn't factored into my account. Rage ensues. I call customer service and am told that they are rejecting it because my account is suspended. You mean to tell me that funds being sent directly to the account cannot pay off what is owed? Nope. But we'll send it back to my company the same day so I can try to send it to my savings account that for whatever reason, is still active. Frustrating but still manageable, I suppose, but leaves me without desperately needed funds. Fast forward to Monday and the deposit hasn't been kicked back. This time, customer service says it'll take 2-5 business days starting that same day. And of course my company cannot write a check until they've received the funds back. RBFCU isn't the friendly, local credit union you'd expect. I'm warning everyone I know in real life and online to strongly reconsider using another bank.Review from Ashley G

I opened up a 403b account through Nationwide/RBFCU. Money has been deducted from 2 paychecks thus far (I am paid twice a month). My 403b account remains at zero, although my employer has documentation showing that my funds were transferred to them. I have called them numerous times and nobody knows where my money is! The owner of the third party administrator company decided to get on a conference call with me and even he couldn't believe the ineptness of the employees. NOT ONE PERSON COULD CONFIRM MY MONEY WAS SENT TO THEM. I want a response IMMEDIATELY from a manager who can access the pay files and confirm they didn't steal my money or apply it to someone else's account. I am so angry with this company, I am going to cancel my retirement plan with them. If I could give them zero stars, I would!!!!!!Review from Tara R

I've had this bank for six years now and they were great for about four of those years. I don't understand why they keep allowing charges to go through on my account that I didn't authorize? They need to just decline any transactions if funds are not available. I have asked for some of the overdraft fees to be waived as a courtesy but they continually refuse to after I've been a loyal customer for years! Then I did, at some point, sign up for the TruStage Accidental Death and *********************** but I called to cancel once another unauthorized transaction went through. I realized that I have to stop using the account and making transactions since these transactions kept going through and I kept getting charged the overdraft fees. I was given the run around and told that I didn't have any insurance through them only to now get a bill from TruStage and, yes, a negative balance on my account for this after I told them I am canceling this! I need my money back and I need this bank account closed but I no longer live near a location.Review from Jason M
