I've used Quickbooks desktop for more than two decades. Through the years I was forced to buy ** every three to 4 years because the updates and prices were from 199 to 299. My last purchase of QuickBooks desktop 2019, has been already canceled and it does not allow me to import my bank transactions as of May 2022. When it asked me to update it is forcing me to buy QuickBooks online which I absolutely despised for being so difficult to manipulate and customized to my needs. That's beside the high price of $85.00 a month, which amounts to $1020 a year. When I contacted **, they offered me a q=** desktop for $545 a year. So from 199 or 299, every three years, it went up 545 a year. I explained to the representative that I am just one person who is paid **** and I need the ** to keep track of my expenses and bring it to my accountant. I do not have payroll or invoices etc. This person apparently was not able to help. I need to provide the court with a balance sheet of my business for a legal procedure and I am absolutely not able to get this done. I even tried to use the online version and it did not allow me after many intents to bring in my chart of accounts and settings from my QuickBooks desktop. I feel so disappointed that after being a 20 somethings user of this software they suddenly are forcing people to move to online accounts. When there are so many users like myself that will rather keep the desktop version. The online version is a disatrous version and it prevents you to customize it. And it is so limited. What I am asking to this software company is the opportunity to allow me to finish at least this year with my desktop software, so next year I can find another software to use. Right now is too late in the year to start with new software. So I respectfully ask that they update my QuickBooks desktop to finalize this year. I would not use this software online, and I can not afford the outrageous increase on the desktop version.
