In the course of attempting to have a transmission issue detected, I took my truck into Road side (Dba ************) circa 9/23/2023. After having the truck several days I called them everyday for progress and they said that they hadnt gotten to it. The day of 9/29 I called and they said they would start after lunch. About 2:30 they called and said I would need a new transmission. I asked how much and they said a random number of 10 thousand. I asked what service that was for, and was told that was just a basic rebuild, but they could have a built transmission for 15k. I thought the very weird to have such round and flat numbers were completely over estimated.i called a different shop and was told $3500. I called F bomb and advised I would take the truck else where and would pay for the bad diagnosis but not the swollen estimate. I was first told the diagnosis would be around ******* depending what they did. What they failed to tell me is that they would require $180 fee for inspecting the pan and about $100 filling the transmission even though I asked them not to since it was being towed to a different shop, and I was already going to have to pay a different shop that fee it was being taken to. The refused and despite the service manager telling me he had JUST taken the picture of my transmission pan as I was calling, it was somehow magically filled with 10quarts of oil at around $90non top of the other 300 in fees. Again, I was told about $150 diagnostic so 480 was much more expensive. It went to a different shop who did the repair for **** but ended up saying it was not a rebuild but the throttle bodies, so I knew then that f bomb fully lied to get 10k from me. The part that Im mad about is after leaving this feedback on ******* ******* the owner used MY PERSONAL INFO on ****** to dox me in response with his own reply. This print is liable and if not refunded I will be reaching a lawyer to finish this complaint in court.
