Complaint: On 6-**-13 I called Mr **** ******* to diagnose my AC unit since cold air was not coming out of unit. Mr **** ******* assumed my Ac unit needed Refrigerant and gave me a price of $80.00 a pound and end price was $440.00. I trusted this person since he is a licensed technician. Well my house never cooled and I called him next day to come back and stated refridgerant is low again and there may be a leak, but did not proceed to check where the leak was but assumed the coil needed to be cleaned. So I got a second opinion from another licensed technician and stated Mr **** ******* did not complete the necessary test to determine why my AC unit needed Refrigerant. The only way the unit needs refrigerant is because there is a leak and if you put refrigerant, it would be a waste of money because the problem is not getting repaired. And the refrigerant is ruining the ozone and can lose his license. He basically stoled my money and ran. I called him and he hung up the phone. I want my money back and I do not want this man to work on my AC unit.

Business Response: I **** ******* the owner of the Mighty Storm A/C & Heating. I received a call from Mr. ******** ****** who need my service for the A/C system that he has for rent at *** ******* *** ******* ** *****. When I arrived at the address of Mr. ******** ****** I start checking the pressure of the system and I find the refrigerant low. I ask Mr.******** ******. And the person who's renting the house if someone had change the system and both they say no. Well then i ask when the system stop cooling the house the tenet say about a day or 2 days the in front of Mr.******** ****** I ask the tenet if he or someone has something on the wall the tenet respond in front of the owner of the house Mr.******** ****** no then I ask Mr.******** what you want me to do. I explain Mr.******** much was per pound of refrigerant witch was at $85.00 per lb. And I used the scale to let see what will be at the end of charging the system. i explain Mr.******** & the tenet that the refrigerant don't have any warranty. If I charge the system in addition I told him that I will charge $90.00 to look for the leak in the system if i find the leak in the system. Then Mr.******** say to me in front of the tenet of the house go ahead and charge the system. I charge the system with R.22 5-2lb. at $85.00 per lb. the total was $440.00. A day later the tenet call me he say Mr.Morales the house its not cooling. I went to the house address to see what was the problem with the system. I check the refrigerant pressures then I start looking for the LGate at the outside system I didn't find a leak then i went to check the inside system and I didn't find a leak. 2 Days later the tenet call me and say that they call someone else to do the job and they find a niel in the copper lines. Then the tenet ask me if I charge the system for free after the copper lines have been brazing on solder the leak. I told the tenet that the refrigerant don't have warranty. Don't you remember that I told the owner of the house in you presence then the tenet say will see what we can do. And that was the last time I had spoke with the tenet. But the true is that I did business with Mr.******** ****** and not with the person who is renting the house. I'm very sorry for the cituation but I'm very honest person I don't take anything from anyone just because that is not me. I'm a honest person. And I want to clear this problem with B.B.B and the customer.
BBB's Final Determination: Business offered a resolution. Consumer did not pursue further with BBB and the matter was assumed to be resolved
