Business Response: To who it may concern:

In response to complaint #*******, Mr. **** ******,

We installed a new complete system for this customer in July
2013.  We didn’t hear anything  from Mr. ****** until early September
when he complained of the indoor unit making too much noise.  We sent a
technician out to inspect the system and found that the operation and noise was
normal operation.  We went on and changed out a relay and a motor to see
if it would reduce the noise but according to the Mr. ******, he still could
not sleep. 

At this point because it was not in any way due to an install
issue or a mechanical failure we contacted  our local Trane Rep ******* ******** to notify him of the problem we were having and see if he could offer
some solution.  ******* went out to the customers home along with our
field supervisor and did identify the noise as normal operation as well. 
At that time ******* did some research and ordered us a special motor to try
and see if that would reduce the noise at all to try and please Mr. ******,
 although there was not an issue with the one that was already in
place.  Mr. ****** waited three weeks before calling us back to approve
for us to come back out and try replacing the motor with a new different type
of motor.  After completion of the change out of the new motor the
customer seemed to be fine with the noise level but said he would like a new
unit because he was concerned about warranty issues.  To re iterate there
is nothing at all mechanically wrong with the unit that Mr. ****** has.  Mr.
 ****** has agreed to change out his entire indoor air handler for Mr.
****** with one that is a step higher than what he has purchased and this has
been scheduled.  Mr. ****** has been advised that it is very possible that
he may have the same issues with this unit because it is the way the unit is
made and is normal operational noise.  He has also been advised that this
will be the final step in trying to rectify a situation that in no way we have
control over as verified by The Local Trane Representative *******
********.  We strive to do all we can to make our customers happy and to
meet their needs and we feel that under the circumstances we have gone above
and beyond with this situation.
