Complaint: American Conservation installed an HVAC for us in 2013. In order to get the heating unit in the attic they had to enlarge the access hole by cutting out part of the ceiling and a joist. The problem is that the repair job was terrible. They used 1 x 6 for trim instead of the original molding (which was still good), they did not repair the joist and instead screwed the trim into drywall, and after the repair the access hole is smaller than it was originally so I can't get boxes out of the attic that I had put up there through the original access hole. I made multiple calls and emails to try to get them to fix it, with very poor responsiveness (it still is not fixed).
Desired Settlement: I simply want American Conservation to cover the costs to have a competent carpenter come in and fix the damage that was done to my house.
The complaint by ******* ***** has been resolved & he is satisfied.

Complaint: This company installed an AC unit in March 2013. I submitted a rebate request to the gas company and found out that they did not permit this work. I requested they permit this work and get a City inspection so that I may get my $75 rebate. The office manager, ******, said they had not heard back from the City and suggested that I get with the City myself. I requested the owner, **** *******, call me to get this matter handled. He has not returned my call as of today, Thursday September 26 . I called the City and was told that the inspector had released the job on Tuesday September 24.
Desired Settlement: Permit, inspection, rebate.
We are very sorry that this has happened. We did try to pull a permit for this work, but the City of Austin informed us that there was an open permit on that house and they would not open a new permit until the older permit was closed. Since that time the customer reached the original contractor from 2010 and they closed there permit out, so we then pulled permit and had final inspection on property and she has since received her $75.00 rebate from Texas Gas. With all that being said, I do apologize for not calling her back as I was out ill at that time. I spoke with ***** ***** on Oct 7th, 2013 and she informed me that she received rebate and all is well and plans to have comments removed from BBB.
