    Complaint for Injunctive and Other Relief

    On April 30, 2010, the Arizona Attorney General filed a Complaint for Injunctive and Other Relief against AllStar Moving and Storage, dba Always Moving and Storage, Mohamed Elsayed, and Amru Abdalla for acts and Practices that violate the Consumer Fraud Act of Arizona, pursuant to A.R.S. section 44-1521.

     
    The complaint alleges AllStar Moving and Storage added charges to consumers’ invoices, such as fees for fuel, truck cleaning, a “sales tax” on the base moving charge, and a surcharge referred to as a “SPE tax” charge. The complaint further alleges Allstar Moving and Storage advertised the use of experienced movers when, many of Allstar’s movers are alleged to have had no professional moving experience before working for the company.  

     

    The Attorney General requested that AllStar Moving and Storage, dba Always Moving and Storage, Mohamed Elsayed, and Amru Abdalla are permanently enjoined and restrained from engaging in the acts and practices that violate the Consumer Fraud Act of Arizona. To restore all persons any money and property acquired by any unlawful means or practices.  To pay the State of Arizona a civil penalty of no more than $10,000 for each violation of the Consumer Fraud Act and to pay for the costs of investigations and prosecution of the this matter, including reasonable attorneys’ fees.
