            On March 7, 2022, I was quoted $139.85 for the overseeding with aeration of my lawn, which was completed on 4/11/22. A copy of the proposal is attached and as you will note, there is no mention of a fuel surcharge. However, the invoice I received contains an additional charge of $14.01 with the description; "Fuel surcharge of 10.02% for an average Champaign monthly price of $3.45." This feels like price gouging. I contacted ******* on 5/10/22, to inquire about a fuel surcharge added to an invoice (see attached), the representative noted this charge was "for the workers convenience". This statement was confusing and I was unable to determine what she meant by this or to receive a satisfactory response. I feel this is price gouging. I have also attached a copy of the proposal for your review, and respectfully ask that the $14.01 be removed/deducted. I have not paid the bill yet.

            I found Merrill after finding that Rich and ***** ***** ******** became a horrible nightmare. They are the most courteous, hard working, communicative company. There were some issues with the invoices in the very beginning, but they worked out those bugs and it has been beyond wonderful! They send notices when they are coming out, they answer emails and calls quickly, they do a fabulous and thorough job with great smiles and kindness! The invoices are detailed and dated so you know what you were charged for (let's just say everything I just said is the OPPOSITE of ***** ***** ******** and their rude owner Rich). I truly am grateful that I found Merrill and their whole range of services. I do want to thank them for all they do and for the politeness and hardworking nature of their crews! Thank you so much!
