Failure of the business to post their exchange and return policy/ensure the customer is aware that "all sales are final" prior to the purchase.
This past Christmas (December 2013), my husband purchased a pendant that cost over $300.00 for me as a gift from the subject business at the location stated. There were no signs in the store alerting the buyer PRIOR to a purchase of their policy that "ALL SALES ARE FINAL. EXCHANGE WILL BE ALLOWED WITHIN 15 DAYS". This statement is on the sales receipt; however, this is provided to the customer AFTER the purchase. My husband has never purchased fine jewelry that could not be returned; therefore, he did not think to ask prior to finalizing the purchase. The sales associate who assisted my husband did not apprise my husband of this policy until after the transaction was concluded. Although the customer should be cognizant, I feel that the business should ensure their non-return policy is known and it should be publicly displayed in the store and/or the sales associate should make it known to the customer before a sale is final. I was provided a credit for $319.93 (Sales Receipt #8161 dated 12/29/2013) since I could not find anything I was interested in when my husband and I attempted to exchange the pendant. Since that time, I have visited both store locations on more than one occasion but have not seen any jewelry that I would like to purchase. I sent a letter to this business on 21 April 2014 stating their lack of apprising the customer before a sale of their no return policy and requesting a refund. I then sent an email to the business on Thursday, 29 April 2014, informing them I was going to submit an official complaint since they had not responded in any manner to my letter.

The company policy is very clear about no refunds and only exchanges within 15 days. However We did some research and approved her request to refund her the money on humanitarian grounds considering her husband lost his job and they could use the money. She can stop by the store and we will refund her the money.
