Complaint Category: Failure to honor service under the terms of warranties

Complaint: ****** Home Improvement put a new roof and new gutters on my house in June of 2011. Last summer, the mosquitoes were swarming around my house so I called the Environmental Health Department. The man said the gutters were holding water and they were breeding in the gutters since the gutters were not properly sloped.I called Bird Home Improvement three times. The 1st time Mr. ****** said he would come and look at them. He did not call me back nor did he come out and look at the gutters as he said he would. The 2nd time he said he would send his son to look at them. Again they never called back nor came out to look at them. The 3rd time (10-15-12) no one would answer the phone (so I'm assuming they had caller ID and would not take the call) so I left a message on their answering machine and they did not return my call.My daughter went up on the roof and cleaned the leaves off the roof and out of the gutters and noticed there was water sitting in gutters in many places due to the gutters being improperly leveled. She also noticed a place on the back of the roof in a corner where there is a space between the end of the roofing and between the gutters.I was given a two year warranty on their work and thus the roof and gutters are still under warranty. Bird Home Improvement needs to honor their warranty and correct these problems.

Complaint Resolution: Company addressed the complaint issues. The consumer failed to acknowledge acceptance to BBB.
