Complaint
Mr. ***** visited my property to estimate pool work. Provided proposal by email on 4-24-2015. I called and accepted his estimate the next day.

I have not been able to contact Mr. ***** since the 4-25-2015 phone call. I have left numerous phone messages and sent email to Mr. *****. I do not know what his situation is. I would like to know if his lack of communication is intentional or he has some personal or business problem preventing him from responding to my attempts to contact him.

Desired Settlement
I want to know why Mr. ***** stopped communicating with me.

Business Response
Contact Name and Title: **** *****, Owner
Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX
Contact Email: ***************@aol.com
Mr. **** wanted some pieces of tiles replaced. I was unable to find anything that I thought suitable to replace it. I conveyed that information to Mr. ****.
In as much as I never received a signed contract or a deposit. Hence, I chose not to do the job.

Consumer Response
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
In the last conversation I had with Mr. *****, he said that he was still looking for the tiles that he thought would work. He did not contact me again and certainly did not indicate that he had decided not to do the job. He is correct that I did not sign a contract, but he did not indicate that I needed to. Also, I accepted the proposal on the phone and he was proceeding with the job. Otherwise, why would he have been looking for tile anyway? I suspect that his business was slow when he contacted me about a post I had left on a pool related site. I think he then got new work, probably a new construction (for much more money ) than my refurbishment job and dumped me. He has certainly demonstrated unethical behavior. I don't know if you think that is good business or not, I don't.
