Complaint
I took my 2003 Honda pilot for a recall on the inner lock lgnition. After I pick it up I had a hard time getting my car keys to work.
Took my 2003 Honda pilot for a recall on the lgnition after their repair my keys got stuck and would not start my car. When it did start I took it to Merced Honda they said my problem was not cause by them and I would have to pay them 675.00 to take care of the lgnition. I never had that problem before only after they work on it. I feel they should do the right thing and repair what they did.

Desired Settlement
Do the right thing and repair My 2003 Honda at their expense why should I have to pay 675.00 for something they did.

The original repair was performed on 2/27/2014 which was a product update to install a new interlock lever to the ignition lock to keep the key from being removed while out of park. During this repair the Ignition cylinder is not removed. The problem with the ignition cylinder that is being experienced now is from wear due to normal usage and time.
I have contacted Honda and asked for assistance in replacing the ignition cylinder lock for Mr. ****** and was given authorization for the following, American Honda will provide the ignition cylinder lock, Merced Honda will install the ignition cylinder lock and Mr.****** will be required to pay a $50.00 deductible toward the cost of the repair. I have called Mr.****** and left messages asking him to call me to discuss this proposal and I have not received a return call yet.
