BBB Secure Your Id Day

Identity theft is the fastest growing crime in the U.S. According to a recent study released by the Better Business Bureau over 8.4 million people became a victim of identity theft in 2006. In that same year the economic loss was a staggering 49.3 billion dollars!

Fortunately, while not completely preventable, you can take steps to protect yourself.

BBB Secure Your Id Day is an event held to give residents and small businesses an opportunity to dispose of their unwanted personal financial/confidential documents.

The shredding services are provided by Discount Shred, a professional on-site mobile shredding company that services business and residential clients in the central valley. The first two boxes are free. Each additional box is $3 per box. All proceeds will be donated to a local youth organization.

Shred events are usually held on weekends in various cities throughout central California. Hours for BBB Secure Your Id Day are held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. or until the truck is full.  (call gaby at 559-256-6331 for more information)
