The Better Business Bureau serving Central California will begin mediating Small Claims court cases in Tulare County beginning Monday, October 18. Mediation Services will be available at the Visalia Convention Center, 303 E. Acequia Ave., for court calendared cases from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Monday of each week.

Mediation Services are provided by professionally trained mediators.

The BBB also plans to open an office by the end of the year in downtown Visalia to serve the community in Family Law, Small Claims and Community Mediation on Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

These services are available free of charge to residents of Tulare County. Superior Court of California, County of Tulare, has awarded the BBB Foundation a contract to perform mediation services in Small Claims Court, Family Court 9 (non-custody) and to perform community mediations. This contract is funded by the Dispute Resolution Program Act established in 1986.

Similar programs are already providing community services to the residents of Fresno and Kern counties.
