    On Feb 15, 2024 I went and ordered dinner for my family. Upon returning home I found they were missing another item I was charged for and they did not give me. This happens almost every night of the week that we eat at this particular Burger King, so this time I was fed up. I am a disabled veteran who is on a limited disability plan and recently went through two major surgeries so we have to eat out right now until I heal.So during the week we eat out with my children and wife. To avoid the daily errors from Burger King employees we stopped eating there during the day and switched to eating dinner later when night crew staff is there because they were always more pleasant and understanding than the day crew with my current medical conditions. So I went back with receipt and the store was almost closing and explained to drive thru what had happened and they tried to just give me the one missing item. I explained to them this was not going to work for me since I already went all the way home and came back with the food all my food was now cold so I was not happy with their first suggestion. As the conversation continued I stated to the cashier that I would just like my refund. She said ok and went to go and get the assistant manager working at store#****. He came to the window after I was instructed to pull up and asked what the problem was and I advised him you didn't hear or listen to what your employee just stated that I needed a refund to you. So he nonchalantly asked me if I had my receipt and bags of food and gave it to him. After waiting for around 3-5 minutes he said he doesn't know how to give me a refund and I have to come back tomorrow to get a refund. Then just stood there over me staring and not another word. I said ok you need me to come back tomorrow but you are not giving me my receipt. He stood there mumbling something under his breath as if I was being a nuisance. I told him hey ***** I'm the customer, you guys messed up, I don't need you to be an a** and just give me my money back so I can go get my family something to eat from another fast food before they close. Not only was the assistant manager rude but he had no customer service skills. This person does not need to be left in charge of running a restaurant alone. First how is this assistant manager running the store all alone and can't even do a simple refund. Second I knew this individual was lying to me because in order for him to reimburse me he would need my atm/credit card to reimburse it to which he never asked me for. Third what was he doing when he had me waiting for 3-5 mins. Fourth I had no money on my card without the refund so my family and I were not able to eat dinner. Today I am supposed to go in and talk to the manager about getting my refund back that should have been done last night. I also asked for a customer complaint line and they gave me the store number. I went online and tried and found the ***** to talk with someone about the issue but after following through the options it is nothing but dead ends and no one to speak to other than filing a complaint on-line. So you mean Im going to have to wait longer for my refund that should have been given yesterday when I was in person and now how many more days must I wait for a refund to feed my family. Does that sound fair or is this how all these fast food restaurants are able to operate. Not only is this scamming me out of my money but look how much bureaucracy I have to go through to get a refund and to file a complaint against an assistant manager and how they try to cover their own mistakes. I went to Burger King and as a customer I did not have it my way as they advertised and after this no longer want to go back to the Burger King...why should I as a disabled Veteran have to go further away from my house just to take my family out to eat when their management cannot properly give back refunds and then try to bully you from getting one back...like I said before I am ex military and I don't appreciate a manager trying to escalate a situation to make it look like I'm being an annoying customer for their mistake and had the laws not been changed I would have gotten out my vehicle with my half broken self and exactly you know what comes next and for what just trying to feed my family. Please explain to me how I was an inconvenience and it was there fault. The problem was not with any of the Burger King employees working there and was only with the assistant manager.
