I have a two bed condo that I rented to a tenant that died in November of 2021. Since then I worked with my property manager ******** ******* to find a new tenant. She stated that the condo needed a new refrigerator and a housclean before it could be rented again. This all made sense when we began to proceed together, but I was very busy at the time and asked my cleaning lady to schedule it. She was available but when she got ready to leave to the property, she had a slip and fall in her driveway. This caused more of a delay than expected, so I replaced the fridge and tried to clean the unit myself. The place wasn't really that dirty, which made me think that ******** had exaggerated the condition. She did say that there were stickers placed on the pantry cabinet. When I saw this I was wondering why she didn't simply suggest a light dusting, a vacuum, and removing the stickers to best of ability to get the unit rented quickly. It was this small of a job. I began to think that ******** was a bit negligent in her duties when I had some other work done on my rental about two years earlier that took longer than expected. I also noticed that the professionals she suggested were a bit high priced and that I found some for a better value with Yelp! and ******* List. We still got along great and she did what she should, but I think waiting too long is unprofessional and needs an inspection. ******** cost me rent for approximately 32 months equaling $38,000 dollars and the property is still vacant. When I sent email asking for status quo, she said she had it listed with Fresno Housing Authority alone and not Zillow.com, Craigslist.org, and Facebook. She was more thorough in the past and this sounded like negligence.
