We purchased a sofa set that was contracted from the retailer to be delivered to us by Excel Relocation Systems/Mentors Moving. Delivery was on 12/28/2021. -Movers look for a path to the living room to deliver the sofa set with "white glove delivery" -They identify the path through the breakfast nook doors to be the best option -When moving the sofa in, they hit a brand new concrete dining table with the leg of the sofa. -They apologize and tell me to call the office to report which I did and also recorded on the BOL/Waybill. ******** Adams Logistics Coordinator Excel Relocation dba Mentors Moving & Storage **** ******* Ave Bakersfield, CA ***** -******** ***** contact me and asks me to send the invoice of the new dining table that was damaged. -I sent the invoice of $1360 immediately. -A couple days later, Ms. ***** calls and offers 50% of the value. She says if I want the full value, it would take a little longer because their insurance needs to cover that cost. -I oblige and submit the form they provided to their insurance at Focus Moving Solutions. -Why suggest filing a claim with there insurance if they were going to try and fight it? Jan 31, 2022 -Tina Burgess from Focus Moving Solutions informs me via email that because Mentors informed them that there was not a "clear pathway", the claim was denied. It is already April and after several attempts to get an appeal and speak with the owner of Mentors, I am asking for help from BBB before further action is taken.
