Complaint: **** **** and ***** ***** have failed to provide a copy of a contract signed on 9/13/2013, despite being provided with court paperwork. On 9/13/2013, my sister, **** ****** signed a contract regarding our father's funeral arrangements. My sister and I are co-administrators of our father's estate as appointed by Kern County Superior Court. Despite being provided with the appropriate court paperwork, both **** **** and ***** ***** (President of Greenlawn) have failed to provide a copy of the contract despite multiple phone calls and emails requesting said information. **** **** has denied the existence of such a contract, despite showing the contract to other family members and stating that 'what was between him and BJ (our father's girlfriend) was between them'. They have filed a creditor's claim against the estate to the tune of $16,000+, but will not provide the contract that was used as a basis to come up with this claim.

Desired Settlement: I want Greenlawn to provide a copy of the contract that they executed in regards to our father's funeral or to retract their creditor's claim against our father's estate.

Business Response: Initial Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2014/03/10) */ During the funeral arrangements for *******'s father, he and his sister, granted permission to the deceased's girlfriend to handle all funeral arrangements. Since all contractual arrangements were with said girlfriend, we could not release the documents until given permission by her. Once we were given permission, copies were sent to ******* and his attorney. When the director, who was in charge of the funeral returns this week, we will send copies to you and *******'s attorney. You can document receiving them and forward to *******. Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 8, 2014/03/10) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Again, the truth eludes us here. As you saw in the email which was forwarded to the complaint specialist, our attorney has confirmed that their office has not been provided with a copy of the contract. Secondly, if he actually intended on disclosing said contract, and he has already obtained permission to do so, where is the contract? Certainly there is at least one person at this establishment that is capable of scanning and then attaching a document to an email. They have promised to deliver said contract prior in what has now become a 5 month wait. This is completely unacceptable.
