Complaint
I was quoted an interest rate of 2.99 and the contract has an rate of 3.99 on it
Went to Reinhardt Toyota in **********, Al on Saturday March 7th to purchase a vehicle. I'd been in contact with salesman ***** ******* for about three weeks prior to my purchase. Well i finally decided that i would make the purchase on Sat. I asked Mr. ******* how much they would offer me for my current vehicle and how much my payments would be. He took it to the front desk and came back with a trade value of 2700 and a down payment of 2000 with a payment of XXX-XXX. I told Mr. ******* to go back and take away the trade and i would just put 4000 down instead, he did and he came back with a car payment of 625 a month. I then asked Mr. ******* how many months and at what interest rate, he told me 72 months @ 2.99% and i verbally agree to the terms. I was then sent to the back with the finance officer who drew up all the paper work and contracts on the vehicle. well in the process of signing contracts somehow the rate was changed from 2.99 to 3.99 at i was not informed of the change. Once i realized the change i immediately contacted Mr. ******* on March 11, 2015. and told him that the rate he quoted me at and the rate on my contract were different,and Mr. ******* said to me "the rates on certain vehicles are higher than others" and i said well you quoted me at 2.99 that is when he transferred me to the financial manager Mr. **** ******** I addressed the issue with Mr. ******* who in turn told me he does all the financing and he is the only one who can offer rates not the salesman. He said that's why they hired me, and i said well the sales quoted me at a different rate. Mr. ******* then said to me that the difference between 2.99 and 3.99 is only a couple of dollars, and i said to him those are my couple of hard earned dollars. he then said i'm not going to argue, but i will investigate the matter. he did and called me back only to tell me that Mr. ******* denied every quoting me a rate, even though we were back and forth in negotiation about rates, trade in value and payments. Mr. Buckner then said i'm sorry for any communication problems that occurred and he would be more vigilant in the future to situation like this and the only thing he could offer me at this point was a refinance offer in 6 months maybe at a lower rate. I feel that Reinhardt Toyota are very deceptive in their practices and they don't have the best interest of the consumer at heart

Desired Settlement
I feel they were deceptive in their negotiations and they should offer me the rate that i was quoted, 2.99%

We disclose all terms of each transaction with customers before the customer takes possession of vehicle which includes interest rates, term and lending institution. We attempt to offer every customer the best interest rate available based on guidelines set by the lending institutions. We regret if there was any confusion between Ms. *****, The Salesperson, and the Finance Mgr.

In my case they did not provide me with an exceptional shopping experience. I still feel there practices are deceptive and wrong. I will not be shopping there ever again.
