Complaint Restore-All Concrete refinished the concrete floors in our house in 2010. The quality of the work was not satisfactory (the finish is peeling and lifting in numerous areas in the house).
I have been trying to get Restore-All back into the house for 3-4 years to fix the issues and have been unsuccessful. The company did attempt to come in once last year but when they arrived, they indicated that they did not have the material that the needed to effect the repairs.
The work was covered with a 5 year warranty.
Desired Settlement I would like a full refund of the amount that we paid for this work so that I may get a different contractor in to complete the work.
Based on the information I have, the floor will likely need to be completely refinished again (vs. spot repairs) as the nature of the lifting is likely related to the bonding so we can expect to have this problem recurring over the entire floor over time.
Business Response We have met with ******* on March 25 and on April 9 to look at floor and to access the color, I called ******* on April 13 to go over a timeline to get these repairs started. These repairs will take place on the first two weeks of August 2015
Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she did not accept the response from the business.) In order to comply with the time frame of this process, I am currently saying no to this question.
Restore All has been to the house, and has provided a plan in writing.
I have a few questions about the plan, including a concern about the fact that they do not plan to offer a warranty on these repairs. I am requesting a warranty to ensure that the repairs are completed with quality products/workmanship per what my original expectation was from the original work. We still need to get an agreement on that.
I'm happy thus far with the respnsiveness from Restore-All but wish that I hadn't felt the need to go to the BBB to get a response.
I am optimistic that we will get to a resolution on this matter in time and would request that the BBB provide additional time for RestoreAll and I to ensure that we are in agreement with the path forward before logging this as an indication that I am not satisfied.
I have provided a copy of the plan from Restore-All, along with my questions and clarifications to ****** **** from the BBB (i was unable to attach them here).
If you have any questions on this, please let me know. Thanks
Final Business Response Restore All Concrete Inc will warranty the urethane top coat for 2 years against delamination
Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) The repairs are planned for the week of August 3rd.
