I signed a contract to have my roof replaced and have brickwork done. The roof was installed in January 2020. In August 2023, the interior ceiling had water stains. In December 2023, I received the following information from a roofing professional "i checked the whole roof over today. I removed and sealed 27 nails. The roofer did not install a single starter shingle anywhere on the roof. It looks like he made every installation mistake a roofer could make, from nail count, nail placement and nail depth to incorrect installation of the drip edge, the ice and water shield ,and the flashings around the chimneys, skylights and the vent pipes. There are sections that should be ripped off and replaced immediately and there are sections that need to be tested with a garden hose. It's one of the worst roof jobs I've seen in 20 years.
