DO NOT EAT AT HONG KONG EATERY,CHINATOWN, ******, ** We never write bad reviews, as dont want to damage the reputation of any business, especially after a pandemic, but this is different. We feel compelled to warn you, My Chinese girlfriend and I got probably the worst meals of our lives yesterday in our ****** Chinatown-and terrible, rude and dishonest customer service from the manager when we politely complained. This was surprising since we had eaten at Hong Kong Eatery many times under the previous ownership and the food was consistently well prepared, and authentic, what one would naturally expect from an establishment in Chinatown. The low mein was like chewy undercooked ramen noodles, definitely not traditional stir fried with the sauce, My girlfriend, being full Chinese, and knowledgeable ordered Chinese Sausage - Shed been enjoying this with her full Chinese family for years, Instead we were served cheap thinly sliced kielbasa, When I politely approached the manager to discuss this, he obviously saw that I was Caucasian, and told me, in no customer friendly terms, that it Was Chinese Sausage and they had been serving it that for years. When my girlfriend heard his demeanor, deceit and lies, she got up from her seat and confronted the manager. Of course, when he saw she was Chinese, and knowledgeable, he suddenly changed his attitude and admitted it was deceiving and wrong on the menu, and hed tell the owner. When we politely asked if we could then substitute the kielbasa for another menu item, unbelievably he declined !! I At no time were we ever confrontational or disrespectful, We were just paying customers who expected a well prepared, honest meal. The overall quality is now very poor, And every customer anywhere should be treated with honesty and respect, and efforts made to retain patronage. This did not happen, For the sake of RIGHT OVER MIGHT, WE APPEAL TO YOU- PLEASE BOYCOTT HONG KONG EATERY IN ******, PLEASE
