All Friends Catering & BBQ & All Friends Smokehouse specializes in "Texas Style" Bar-B-Que, as well as homemade items including burgers, sandwiches, salads, and beverages. We buy local meats, seafood, and produce to ensure the highest quality for our customers. We will customize catering menus to meet all dietary requirements including vegetarian and vegan options. Complaint: I hired All Friends Catering & Barbeque to cater my daughters wedding on July 20th at the ********* **** ***** grounds.The contract was for a buffet @ 23.00 a person for 103 people.The measl consisted of Barbeque chicken and shrimp,roasted vegetables,rice and oven roasted potatoes and a vegan dish.We had fourteen tables which were called up 2 at a time and his servers served the food.He ran out of food with 3 tables remaining leaving me 20 guests that went unfed.This is totally unacceptable.He never even tried to to recover send out for food etc. I also had one guest get raw chicken.The food we did receive was ice cold.The shrimp tasted like it had cooked in the citrus marinade or was cocktail shrimp they tried to cook.He also hung around venue demanding payment when I explained I had brought one check and did not feel I should pay full pice as guests went unfed,he said he would knock 300.00 off bill.I told him I would pay him next day, as I had no checks with me. This wedding was all thought out and planned perfectly and he totally ruined my daughters wedding! Im sorry but refunding $300.00 when 20 guests went unfed is totally ridiculous.He ruined a very special Day my only daughters wedding as well as totally embarrassing our family!We feel like we were robbed!

Desired Settlement: I feel he should have apologized to my guests and tried to send someone of his staff to feed the people that did not get fed

Business Response: In regards to this complaint, it is inaccurate and extremely embellished. The customer violated their signed agreement by not giving 14 days notice of final head count as agreed upon. There were also inaccurate numbers and incorrect information in regards to Vegan entrees and food allergies as I was not made aware of someone with a severe seafood allergy who was very nervous upon going through buffet line. Incorrect final numbers lead to shortage of food, as there was no mention of bartender, DJ, and Photographer getting food and they indeed went though buffet line. There were not 20 plus people unfed, that is a lie, there was still plenty of food. The only item that ran out was chicken, there was still plenty of shrimp, potatoes, and veg. The woman filing the complaint is the mother of the bride, but was not part of any signed agreement between myself and the bride & groom. She may have been paying, but her name was not on contract. I was never notified about any issues with undercooked food, which easily could have been fixed as I cooked everything on site on a rented commercial grill outside the venue hall. I received an email the following day from the bride apologizing to me for all of the issues, as I had emailed her promptly to apologize for any mistake with the food on my part. She also made mention of hoping her mother hadn't been too unreasonable. She stated both her and her husband's food was very good, but she did her a FEW complaints from guests who did not get chicken. I take great pride in my work and resolving issues, so I immediately took 300.00 off of total bill to compensate for the troubles. Both the bride as well as her mother thought it was fair, so no idea why now there is a complaint saying they were robbed! As stated on agreement, final payment is due on day of event which is why I waited around as I needed to be paid. Ms. ****** refused, threatening to file complaints and write bad reviews. I then had to drive to Ms. ******** home to pick up the check the following day for the balance minus the discount I took off. I then offered to have Ms. ****** and her family to my restaurant for a meal on me, to try and apologize for running out of chicken, even though I provided everything I was supposed to and agreed upon. The check Ms. ****** gave me was returned insufficient funds by my bank, and caused some issues for me with inaccurate numbers in my account. I then had to wait an additional 14 days to have the check returned by my bank and be able to re-deposit it just the other day. I feel I went above and beyond anything I needed to do, but unfortunately just cannot please some people.

Business Response: I do truly apologize for any and all issues that happened during the wedding, even if not directly involving myself or my staff, but feel I have resolved issue by refunding money and not taking action as a result of the returned check and violation of signed contract.
