Complaint: I purchased a case of cape cod original classic chips, 12 9 oz bags on October 1st as a gift. The oder id #****. Upon opening the case of chips we discovered that 6 of the bags were open. The seal was busted at the top for all 6 bags and in some cased the bottom seal was busted as well. We don't know how long the bags have been open and we certainly did not want to eat from the bags for health reasons besides freshness. We have pictures of the box showing grease marks and of the open bags. I have called the 888-881-2447 customer service phone number from the company's webiste on 5 different occassions between October 8 through October 17. I have left detailed messages every time and no one has returned my phone call. I am very disappointed that no one has contacted me to provide me with a refund for at least half the purchase total OR tried to replace the defective bags.
Desired Settlement: At this time I think it is reasonable to expect a full refund.
This issue has been resolved, after talking with Mrs ***** and giving her the option of replacing the six bags that were damaged or refunding the amount to her credit card she chose the refund which was credited to her charge card on Monday Nov 5th.

Complaint: i bought a bunch of bags of chips and the seal was all messed up so the chips were stale and i almost chocked
Desired Settlement: i want a few cases of chips delivered to my house for this terrible story. coupons will not do as there are no stores in the area that sell it i bought it near my summer home
The first time the consumer contacted us I sent coupons to replace the product. He had indicated that he bought a couple of bags but he only had information for one bag.
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does satisfy my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint.

Complaint: advertise potato chips but instead we purchase several packages of spoiled broken potatoes pieces in each bag

On the back of every bag we ask the consumer to contact us if they are not happy with their purchase. This complaint contained no information on the purchase (type of chips, bag size, code date, etc) except the problem and price. We are sending replacement coupons to the address provided.
