      I mailed a payment for condo policy renewal 2/18/24 which was due in 2/28. Received a call on 2/28 that pmt was not received and policy would cancel. Did *** over the phone. The next day (2/29) original check cleared and on 3/1 *** posted a debit to my account. Called and was told refund would be made immediately to my checking account. Called 6 times and have gotten the runaround. First they told me check was mailed to a 2 yr old address despite the correct address showing on line. 2 reps told me it was being refunded as *** because that is what they showed as the most recent for of payment. 2 reps told me the check cleared AFTER the *** (not true - I have bank activity showing otherwise) so they were mailing a check. I was told the refund was processed on 3/8 (1 week AFTER the double pmt) because that's their procedure. Each time I call I am told 10 business days to process the refund and allow 5-10 business days for mailing. When it was theoretically mailed to the incorrect address, I was to allow an additional 10 business days for a stop payment, then their 10 business days to process + 5-10 business days for mailing. They definitely had my check on 2/28 when they called to say they had not received payment because it could not have cleared the bank the following day if they had not received it. This is clearly a ploy to use and keep customers' money. They buy themselves 2-3 weeks each time the promised check is not received. After seeing reviews on this company, I am not the only one this has happened to. This is how they operate. Policy is Homesite through Geico who claim they have no control over the policies and procedures of Homesite.

      ZERO STARS FOR HOMESITE!!!!!We have geico homesite insurance. They totally screwed us over on our claim. Our guest bathroom flooded and we have yet to get our flooring in because they don't want to replace the cabinets or the counter tops. We have a general contractor named ******************* who owns *************** and we gave them the notarized authority to talk to our adjuster who is refusing to talk to anyone and also says that we can get somebody to make cabinets that will match what we have without even talking about getting new cabinets or countertops. We have talked to SEVERAL cabinet places and they all say we should be able to have all of our cabinets replaced. We have basically taken out two claims and were only able to take care of the drywall, the guest bathroom, and the laundry room. We haven't been able to get kitchen cabinets at all let alone our floor in that has been purchased and is SITTING in a warehouse. We complained to the **************** insurance commission and homesite gave them a story about how they are still talking to service master which is a complete lie. They are a horrible company and they depreciated our house by a ton. They have left us in a MESS without a finished house. I am so livid. I have pictures, I made videos. I will be posting them across the internet to warn other home buyers against getting insurance through them. I wish I had the money for an attorney so I can *** the **** out of them. Not only for not providing us enough money for fixing our house but also not even acknowledging the second claim that we have out on our house and refusing to talk to our contractor, or my husband or myself about this. They sent us paperwork that claimed that they did all they could which is absolute garbage. I hope they get shut down and ***d so we can join the lawsuit against them and get cabinets and flooring and get the second claim taken care of which they are completely ignoring.
