Complaint: "In April 2014, (my) home sustained water damage. As work progressed, contractor claims to have discovered additional damage which required two additional claims be filed with the insurance company. In all, three separate claims were approved by the insurance company totaling $38,321.99, of which all funds have been received by contractor...however the majority of the work is substandard and improper. Additionally, there still remains a substantial amount of work to be completed in order to return this dwelling to habitable standards. In the meantime, the homeowner has lost substantial rental income and was been unable to reach the contractor for much of July & August, and contractor continued to offered numerous excuses as to the reasons for the slow progress." These were the findings of the Contractor's Board. Fast forward to today, Mar. 23,2015, almost 1 year later, and issues are still not resolved. The contractor created more damage than repair, and used no licensed employees or subcontractors. I took plenty of photos & have documentation to show his negligent shoddy work. Additionally, my insurance company has dropped me as a client because of multiple claims created by the contractor; and insurance co. was defrauded as well.

Desired Settlement: I seek monetary restitution for the work that was supposed to have been done plus the work necessary to fix damages contractor created as well as damages for loss of income from the rental property.
