Our HOA sent Aiello's Chimney Sweep a deposit of $2409 on November 15 for repointing, installation of a chimney liner, and a few other repair items. We were told that liners were backordered, but we would hear from them soon. We never did. Around January, I realized we hadn't heard from the company and we followed up. We were told the liner was in and they would be out shortly. By mid-February, I emailed following up. By this time, I suggested that we either have the work done in the next few weeks, or we move on to a different contractor. We recently had a number of boilers installed and the inspection is being held up by the chimney repair. The **** contractor is still on the hook until we have this done.We heard multiple times that the company would be out in a couple of weeks. Often, no one would come. Finally, pointing began in Mid-March, but then nothing. In late April I called stating that we'd waited long enough. I was told he would be there within a week. Someone did come, but only did some prep work. I was told they would be back in a couple of days, but they never returned. Another trustee called and was told they had the flu, but would be out around 5/13. It is now 5/16. Six months after paying the deposit, the work is still not done. This is untenable, unprofessional, and at this point, dishonest. We demand the work done or our money returned. An apology--to us and the **** company waiting to have the system inspected--is long overdue. We expect this to be taken seriously and fixed immediately.
