Purchased vehicle on 5/17/21, Failed inspection on 6/2, tried to resolve this with the car dealership but truly just got talked down to and was given the run around. I then got an estimate for what I needed to pass inspection, that cost $72.90 on 7/28/21 which was the soonest I could get it in. Then had the shop replace exhaust gaskets and hardware between cats and "Y" pipe for a total of $1,086.25. Beginning of November the car would just crank but not catch to start, replaced the battery for $130.00 which helped for about a week when the car started doing this again. Had it diagnosed, again, to discover its the crankshaft sensor. This fix will cost me between ****** & ****** which I am having done next week. The extended warranty I bought for 1****** has not covered any of this and no one on ********* will talk to the extended warranty company as well. In less then 7 months, I have put in over *******, which is more then I paid for the 2 year extended warranty, only to have to put in more next week. I have been left stranded by this car numerous times with my children and can no longer afford to keep putting money into this car, which is why I got rid of the last one in the first place. I am anxious every time I have to go somewhere that this car will not start and I'll be left stranded again. I am aware of normal wear and tear and general maintenance costs but this is beyond that when every couple months I have to have something else fixed and I cannot afford that, I thought I was buying a reliable and safe vehicle for my kids and I and instead I got a lemon. I do have copies of all receipts and estimates as well as the failed inspection report as well. I didn't think it was legal to sell a car that will not pass inspection but I was hoping it was a simple fix so I tried to stick it out but this is just a constant continuing problem after problem that as a single parent I cannot afford or worry about being stranded any longer.
