I contacted ****, the owner of Southie Appliance, in Mar 2023 to repair a WineEnthusiast wine refrigerator. On Mar 8, 2023 he made a diagnostic service (I paid $75 cash), suggested to order a couple parts, and said he'd return once the parts arrived - which they did in 3-4 months. Beginning of Jul 2023 we made arrangements for **** to visit and finish installing these 2 parts on Jul 17; however, he was a no show and despite ********** and leaving a voicemail, he didn't return my call(s). Finally (after multiple attempts to contact him) we spoke on Jul 24 and he made no mention of missing the prior week's appt and mentioned that he could possibly perform the repairs on Weds Jul 26 and said he'd call back that same day, which he did. Then he mentioned that another 1-2 clients had similar repairs done but they didn't pay him for his time. I said I'd certainly pay him, and he replied that's what his other clients told him. I then mentioned that even though he skipped last week's appt, I am still interested in working with him; he hung up on me before I could finish my sentence, and he didn't pick up when I called him within 3 minutes of him hanging up on me. My point in calling him back was to state that I wish to support his business, and that I presumed he was sick or not feeling well last week, but he didn't allow me the opportunity to say anything before hanging up. At this point all I desire is for him to arrange a service call and finish the job, for which I'll pay him the standard fee/rate.
