Complaint: I just got off the phone with *****. I let her know that I do have an account and purchased from Cultural Intrigue in the past. I checked my cc account and the charge is there. Please ship my items that I purchased.
Desired Settlement: All I would like to resolve this matter is for the company to ship my items to me.
Business Response: We received the above referenced complaint by mail today. The issue was a computer generated error. For some hours our new tapestries showed our wholesale customers that they could add these items to their cart at one penny each without logging in. Under the item it said “Log in to view prices”. When this customer went to our wholesale web site she did not log into her registered wholesale account. She was able to add the tapestries to her cart. However, had she logged in she would have seen the correct prices – which were $20 each. We corrected the problem as soon as we discovered the error but unfortunately, the customer placed the order prior to the correction. She was contacted the next business day and advised of the error and the correct price for her order, which was $420 plus shipping. She was quite upset and rude to our customer service representative *****, who tried every way possible to explain what happened. This individual was quite insistent that she would pay what the site posted and insisted she speak with a supervisor. ****** the supervisor called her back to advise her again of the circumstances. She kept saying that she had paid for the items when no actual capture of funds was completed. She was advised of this and the fact that she had not logged in to her account since April of 2014 to view any wholesale pricing. We again advised her of the correct price and she threatened to report us. The order was then cancelled from our website because the customer refused to pay the correct amount. She hung up on the supervisor and now we are receiving this complaint. What would you have us do in this situation? Sincerely, CULTURAL INTRIGUE/LUNA BAZAAR
