Complaint: The rug part on the Rainbow Vacuum does not work and the outfit I bought it from will not fix it for me. It is still under warranty at this point and I want it fixed.

Complaint: I was sold a Rainbow vacuum by ***** ***** on 9/13/2011. After two days my husband and I told him we were not happy. He said we had to keep it longer. After 1 1/2 weeks I voiced our concerns to him. He once again said we needed to keep it longer. At no point did he say we only had the three days. In fact on the second time he told us that he knew we would love it and that if we didn't, he would come pick it up and that he would have to sell it as used. O On October 29,2011 I called him and told him we were definitely not happy with the machine. He told us he would call Mr. ****** (RP Miller & Associates, Inc) and he would call me on 10/31. He did not call so on 11/2 I called him. His attitude was very different. He said that all the claims he told us were what he was trained to say and that he did not manufacture the machine. He then said he could not be responsible for what Asthma & Allergy Foundation stated about the machine. I questioned why anyone would pass on to customers something they did not believe in or that was accurate. Mr ***** said we should expect some issues as this was a totally new machine. I pointed out that we had issues. He reported that he has never had any complaints. I then asked why, if this were true, he was not offering to at least look at the machine. Brent stated that he was going to offer that option. He agreed to come to our home the next evening. The next evening he called to say we were stuck with the machine and that we did nothing in our three days. I once again pointed out that I had indeed shared our concerns with him during that time period. I got hold of his supervisor, Mr. ****** from **** ****** * **********, Inc. He basically stuck by ***** and said it was, he said, she said. I am very honest and took great pride in my strong ethics and professionalism. We felt we could trust Mr. *****. We entered into this contract in good faith but also expected this to be reciprocated. At this point we do not want the machine.
Desired Settlement: We would like the machine picked up and our debt released. We feel that we were scammed. We did indeed tell Mr. ***** we wanted out but he kept pushing for us to keep it longer. This led us to believe that his word was honest and that our rescission time was extended. We also have two neighbors who are facing similar issues with this same man. Mr. ****** reported that we would have to take this up with United Financial ( finance company).
It is my understanding that Mrs. **** was dissatisfied with the
