5/2/2014 I called Alt E to learn more about a solar application I need and being that I didn't know much about solar at the time I figured I'd call the professionals. I told them what I wanted to do and the products I was thinking of purchasing. I asked if my list of products was everything I needed and they responded yes. After receiving the products and starting the install I quickly realized I needed a wiring harness, fuse, and the tool for getting the mc4 connectors apart. I ordered the parts I needed and got an email that the wiring harness was on back order, so I emailed customer service and they responded that the part should be in in 3 days. A week went by and still no shipping confirmation, so I called the company and now the expected shipping shipping date was over a week out. They said this was because of a strike out in California of which could be true, but it's such a basic wiring harness I find it hard to believe. Anyways, I canceled the order of which I haven't seen the credit posted to my credit card yet and I ordered all the parts through another company and I'll just make up my own wiring harness. As for doing business or recommending the company I can't do that and recommend people stay away.

12/5/2013 Avoid this company! I have a 24 volt submersible well pump that the motor failed the evening before Thanksgiving. Bad timing. I had to wait until Monday to scramble and find a replacement motor. I chose AltE because it is in the same time zone. Normally I deal with the guys in Idaho but I was trying to expedite things. First problem was they don't answer the phone. But I thought, hey it's the day after a big holiday they must be busy. So I order the motor from their web site, paid extra for 3 day shipping. Guess what? I got a tracking number from UPS today that says my package will be delivered late Monday. A full EIGHT days from date of order. My family and farm animals will have been without running water 12 days by the time I get the part I need. Oh, and did I mention, they don't answer the phone.
