Complaint: We started to smell oil fumes, call an a serviceman came and sealed the small door where you view the flames, did nothing else. We still smelled oil fumes, a second service man came, took down the stack going to the chimeny then put it back in place. We still smelled fumes. Call ****** Energy, the found the oil tank weeping and also stated the furnance is 34 years old they both have to be replaced. I purchased a new oil tank and furnace, called Woods and they stated if I sent proff of purchase they wuld refund the price of their oil contract. I faxed over the invoice, then got a call stating because I had 2 service calls no refund. I stated your service calls did nothing about the problem you owe me the refund. They then stated the servivce manager would call NO CALL.

Desired Settlement: Get my money back for the service contract.

We sent out a refund in the amount of $214.00 to him on December 20, 2012. The amount of $214.00 is the amount That Mr. ****** was billed in June 0f 2012. So, the $214.00 refund is for the full amount of the service plan that he paid for.  Please let me know if there is anything else I need to do to solve this complaint.

Consumer Response: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does satisfy my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint.

My only problem is if the check was issued on 12/20/2012, today is 1/03/2013 and I still do not have the check.

BBB's Final Determination: Consumer accepted resolution offered by the business.

BBB Comments: The consumer indicated to BBB that the complaint was resolved.
