8/10/2016 they will not leave me alone. they call my house, they mail my home. my husband passed and they will not quit. I sent them notifications twice and had to block them from calling my home. STOP!

7/25/2016 The Boston Globe allows online visitors to read up to 5 free articles per month. They advertise at the bottom of the page that you can sign up to get unlimited access for only 99 cents/week. I thought wow only $4/month what a great deal. However, if it sounds too good to be true then it usually is. Within 4 weeks I was charged $15.96 not once but TWICE. That is not the price that was advertised. In fact it is 4x the price that is advertised. When I decided that was just too much to pay for the handful of articles I read each month, I logged in to cancel my account. Well guess what... the Globe doesn't offer online cancellation. I had to call their 800 number. I called 3 days in a row at various times and every time I called their automated voice told me that call volume was heavier than normal and my wait time would be longer. The first day I gave up pretty quickly. The 2nd day I waited on the phone for about an hour before I gave up. The third day, a Saturday morning, I was on hold for nearly 45 minutes when someone finally answered. They asked for the reason I wanted to cancel and of course she began rattling off some spiel that I did not care anything about. It doesn't matter to me the reasoning behind why the Globe charges the way they charge. What I care about is that they falsely claimed they were only charging $4/month for an unlimited subscription and I ended up paying $16/month. Whatever you do, I urge you to not fall into the same trap. The Boston Globe both in print and online is a scam. Its not worth it.

4/21/2016 I purchased an online subscription. After a period of time I wished to cancel. According to their online policy you are required to call them in person in order to process a cancellation. I have attempted several times to reach them by phone, however each time they are experiencing a 'high call volume' and then promptly hang up on you. I attempted to contact them via email to indicate my problem. Their response was to email me a link to their cancellation policy. I definitely cannot trust a company that is more than willing to take your money online, but does not allow you to leave.

3/20/2016 After not receiving paper for 21 days was told I would get credit and two free weeks of delivery. After finally receiving paper I get a bill for all the days I didn't receive plus get a second bill looking for more money. I call and they can't figure it out but say others have the same problem but refuse to fix. Cancelled paper but still ended up paying about 30 dollars extra that I will never see. Worst customer service ever and I recommend not getting home delivery fro the Boston Globe. Have lost a lifetime customer that will never get the Globe again.

2/28/2016 I have been getting the Boston globe since 2012. since they switched there delivery staff I have not gotten a paper. it has been six weeks with no paper and every time I call they try to give me some deal to keep me. I have given them more than enough time to resolve the delivery issue as they keep telling me give us another week and it will be fixed. I just sat on hold for and hour and a half waiting to speak with someone. when I finally got someone and told them I wanted to cancel the paper they tried to give me 25% for the next year. why would I keep paying for a product I am not receiving. they just don't get it. I know a lot of people that are not getting there paper either and are going thru the same thing. I wanted to take the time to let people know not to bother to subscribe to the paper it is a waste of money and time because you never get it.
