Complaint: I bought a home that had a propane tank from Jaysan that the previous owner had set up...when I called Jaysan to remove there tank because I had decided to use another company, I asked them how I would be reimbursed for the remaining propane in the tank....they explained to me that I would receive a check for the amount left in the tank based on what the previous owner had paid, which I thought was fair....not once was there any mention of charges for labor to pick up the tank, recover gas, process credit, close account, etc. After 7 weeks....I finally received a check for $71.69.....the total should have been $118.69 but they deducted $47.00 for the above mentioned "labor" how can you charge somebody to "close" an account that they never had in the first place?? and as far as labor for removing the tank...my new company had Jaysan's tank removed before they even showed up....I tried resolving this over the phone with Jaysan but they told me that they would not refund me the $47.00 because that was there fee....I told Jaysan that I understand that they are a business and need to make money....my issue is that never told me about these charges up front....I feel that this charge was a spiteful way of getting back at me for not using them for my propane needs.

Desired Settlement: I would like a check for $47.00 mailed to me A.S.A.P

We have researched and reviewed Mr. ******* concern and dispute.  As a courtesy we have issued a credit for the disputed amount.  We have processed and sent a credit payment for $47 with a letter of our decision directly to his new home address.  He should expect to receive this by postal mail within 3-5 buisness days.

BBB's Final Determination: Business offered a resolution. Consumer did not pursue further with BBB and the matter was assumed to be resolved
