Complaint: I went to Drs Coakley and Trainor's office for a yearly cleaning. I was told by their staff that I was due for a full mouth x-ray and that my insurance company would cover the cost. I agreed to the x-ray, assuming that I was being told the truth. A few months later, I received a $99 check from my dental insurance company (********* **********) for reimbursement and a separate bill from Drs Coakley and Trainor for $344. I contacted my insurance company to inquire as to why there was such a discrepancy. I was told by my insurance company that I had been given a full mouth x-ray when I was not due for a full mouth x-ray and therefore I would only be reimbursed the $99. I then contacted Drs Coakley and Trainor's office to explain this situation. I was told that I in fact only owed $42.71. I assumed that there had been some sort of mistake and the amount I owed had been adjusted. I paid the $42.71 and assumed I owed nothing more. A few weeks ago, I received another bill by mail for $344, stating I owe this amount.

Desired Settlement: I would like my bill to be adjusted to the $99 which is the amount of reimbursement I received from my insurance company, as I was told at the time of the x-ray that my insurance would cover this cost. I would also like the $42.71 I have already paid to be subtracted from this amount making the total amount I owe Drs Coakley and Trainor $56.29.
