Complaint: Was told I needed to pay estimated out-of-pocket portion in advance. Was charged $312.00 in Oct 2013 while my dental insurance should have covered 100-80% assorted procedures. Dentist was unable to complete root canal, had to cancel procedure and when I returned for alternate tooth extraction, I was advised there was additional balance due on the prior incomplete procedure and more out-of-pocket expense would need to be paid for that day's appointment. Which I challenged and refused to pay, stating I was expecting a refund should be due to me. After months of ***** Dental Insurance notifying me the claim for Incomplete Root Canal could not be finalized due to Advanced Dental's failure to provide requested information. Finally received statement early March 2014 showing the contractual amount of patient's responsible payment should have been $54.00. Subsequent repeat requests for refund directly to Advanced Dental have been ignored.

Desired Settlement: Submitted complaints via their website again today 4/7/2014 stating that a Small Claims lawsuit will be filed if payment not received within 30 days.

Business Response: The consumer has been refunded and all is resolved. 

BBB's Final Determination: Business offered a resolution. Consumer did not pursue further with BBB and the matter was assumed to be resolved
