4/24/2015 I used Beacon Payments last year for a few months until I sold my business in May. My rep came into my business in person after I had cancelled service and assured me that my account with them was closed and that everything was all set. Come to find out, six months later, they had been deducting a monthly fee from my account, which they retained access of, a total of $200. I chased Beacon Payments for two months for a refund. Finally, I received a check in the mail. Immediately following my refund check, they deducted $400 from my account, claiming that it was a fee for breaking contract. I never had a contract with Beacon Payments, nor did anyone inform me that I was breaking contract or alert me that they would be taking money out of my account. As far as I'm concerned, Beacon Payments stole money from me. I called the office about the so-called "contract" and to discuss the deduction and no one returned my call. I would never consider using this company again.

Comment from the Business Hi ****, I am happy to assist you with this. please call me directly at *** *** **** and I'll help get this resolved for you. A refund was issued immediately and mailed to you when you brought this billing error to our attention. I'm seeing your account was noted as closed in our system on June 3rd, but billing continued until November. This was our error and it was not done intentionally. Please accept our apology for this. We are happy to make an exception for you if there are circumstances in which you feel you should not have to pay the termination fee, but you did sign for a three year term and this was very clearly noted on your agreement.. thank you. by on 4/27/2015

5/15/2014 A sales rep. came into my business from Beacon Payments, trying to get me to sign on with them to process my credit cards. I asked him more than once "Are there any hidden fees? Any fee to sign up" etc. He assured me NO. I wasn't going to use their expensive equipment, just a little card reader, which both ****** and ****** give out for free. So he said that he would waive the $50 fee and give me it for free also. I went online and got the app. etc. The salesman said there was no fee.... Well one month later, on May 5th, they try to charge my bank account $5960.06. Which bounces and costs me $30. I notice it on May 10th, I immediately try to contact them, all of their customer service numbers no longer work. I contact my sales rep. ****: He says he'll look into it... he calls me back and says his supervisor is looking into it and they will reimburse me the $30, it's just a mistake and they are straightening it out. I wait all day, nothing, the next day, they try to hit my account AGAIN for the $5960!!! so another $30, and I close that account, I still have not heard back from them, it's Thursday night and my first contact was Monday.

Comment from the Business In order to be billed $5960.06 you would have had to process well over $200,000 during the month of April. does that sound right? Normally businesses don't process that high of a volume on a phone swiper. The customer service number is ************ and the number has been working all week long. please call us so we can research this. it does not sound right to me. by on 5/16/2014
