For over twenty-four years, I have engaged the services of Renovations by James Martel. James has transformed my cookie cutter home into a custom home. Initially, I hired James for a kitchen remodel. He listened carefully to what I wanted and made sure the final product was what I had envisioned. The quality of the finished work was exceptional. His attention to detail and craftsmanship was truly remarkable. I was so impressed with the results that I hired his company to build an addition with an attached deck. I was so amazed at how the structure blended in with my existing home. Not only was I impressed with the result, but also the behavior of the sub-contractors. They demonstrated the highest level of professionalism, skill, and dedication. Throughout the years, Renovations by James Martel has completed several projects:Windows and door replaced. In some instances, *** reframed the windows, so I could have transoms or stacked windows. Trim and baseboards replaced. Crown molding installed. The wraparound porch and backyard deck updated with TREX decking and railing system. Currently, a garage makeover is in progress. James and *** replaced the exposed cement with drywall and painted the ceiling, walls, door, and trim. Subcontractors installed an epoxy floor and replaced the garage door openers. Continued: From 2017 through 2024, I have hired James (now with his son Jim) for several interior and exterior projects. A subcontractor installed stone veneer on the chimneys and the cement foundation. The result was outstanding. The mason did an exceptional job. In addition, a new roof and gutters were installed, shutters were added to the porch window, and every outdoor light replaced. Two zone air conditioning was added. I had a complete interior remodel of every room, including the kitchen, great room, sunroom, bedrooms, bathrooms, and closets. Every floor updated with tile or wood. All the interior lighting had been replaced. In the great room, a cast stone fireplace surround replaced the existing mantel. The dining room wall had been removed to open the space to the kitchen. In this space, a kitchen island with a sink and additional cabinets were added. Calcutta quartz was installed on the countertops, island and backsplash. The walls between the laundry room, and half bath were removed. The ninety square feet area could accommodate a new bathroom with a large shower. A closet with custom shelves housed the laundry. To increase space in the foyer, a closet was removed. The office changed to a bedroom with a pocket door and a new closet. The foyer's staircase was rebuilt with craftsman posts, square baluster and railings, and black oak flooring. James's attention to detail and craftsmanship was evident in the final product. The staircase was beautiful. The upper bathrooms were gutted and renovated. The foyer and bedrooms updated. James and his son Jim have done an amazing job in the remodeling of my home. The transformation of my house has exceeded my expectations, and I am completely satisfied with the quality of the work. They made my vision a reality. They are intelligent, artistic, committed and fully capable of managing any renovation and remodeling project.
