1/22/2016 I've been in this shop twice now looking at their prom dress section. Both times I've walked into the store the girls at the front desk barely look at you to greet you. When I went in there again today they told me someone would be right up to assist us, that took about fifteen minutes. There was a young guy upstairs when we got up there. He saw us come up, completely ignored us for about ten minutes and was by no means friendly why he finally approached us!!! When I asked where the ****** trunk dresses that was advertised on their website which was listed as start date of 1/21/16 to 1/23/16 he quickly stated that trunk sale was starting tomorrow. I was in the store on 1/22/16!!!! I was at this point highly irritated as I drove 45 minutes with the expectation ofviewing their trunk dresses and they had nothing out but told us they were all bagged a d in the office downstairs. Knowing that we came purposely to see these dresses couldn't they have taken us down stairs!! Lastly, this stupid policy of all sales are final in completely ridiculous!!! Only in Fall River Mass in these Portuguese shops does this happen. I'm glad this is the last time I will be prom dress shopping as my other two kids are boys!! To the guy up stairs wearing his fancy suit, the only reason you can afford that stupid suit is because your parents are likely hard working Portuguese people as mine were and they only want to provide you with better than they had themselves. If you worked as hard as they do maybe you would be kinder to your customers!! To the nice lady ( the one that moved fur *********) that helped us find the dress for my daughter. Thank you helping us out. I hope you find yourself employees at another bridal shop that treats people with respect!!

7/30/2015 Alexandra's was by the far the WORST experience I've ever had in sales in life. I've never once felt compelled to write about a business but I do not feel this business should be allowed to provide the poor service that they do. I got married a year ago and had debated filing a complaint with the BBB but I knew it would go nowhere since the owner of this place does not understand what customer service is and how to properly treat a customer. My wedding party was talked down to, lied to and paid for multiple services/products that were not rendered. I have receipts for everything and we spent a fortune at this place. The best working seamstress at this boutique was being overworked and treated poorly. She did not get to my mother's alterations prior to a scheduled fitting. We sat in the waiting room for THREE hours waiting. The seamstress came out in tears crying, explaining that my mom's dress was in shreds and she didn't have time to get to it. She told us she was sick of being treated like a child by the owner and would fix the dress outside of the business and stormed off crying hysterically. The owner ****** then proceeded to come out, pointing a finger at my mother and shouting "My seamstress quit tonight and it is all your fault!" Of course, my mother then started crying because she was stressed out. My aunt (bridesmaid) defended my mother calling her unprofessional. I never once got an apology from the owner but only did from her staff which is so extremely rude. ****** then lied and said a $145 sash my mom ordered was backordered and wasn't there as she promised it would be. Magically 20 minutes later a sash (that we are pretty sure was on display) appears and she claims it is my mothers. I'm sure this was a lie too. My mother explained the sash was thicker and she reassured my mother "No, only brides sashes are that thick and are much more expensive." After 3 fittings and paying for alterations that were not rendered on ANY of my 4 bridemaids dresses I decided to pull all of the dresses out of the boutique including my own gown prior to them steaming it. I was afraid it would have water stains like another customer had complained of while I was there. The owner had the nerve to hold one of the bridesmaid dresses hostage (3 weeks prior to my wedding) without us dishing over $80 for sewing on extra material since it was ordered in the wrong size! Mind you bridesmaid alterations are supposed to be free. She called the cops since we refused to leave without the dress/paying. At this point we handed over the money and walked out of the store. I was absolutely appalled. We had to go to another boutique to have all 4 bridesmaid dresses fixed. One dress was not even salvageable (my mothers). I have pictures of how awful it was and I show them to everyone that ever thinks about going to this place. I spent so much money here that was wasted since we had to pay someone else to fix the damage done to the dresses. BBB should highly consider watching this place closely. They have ripped off many people and continue to get away with it. ****** also needs to learn how to properly handle situations and what customer service is. To make matters worse, she disputed a review I wrote for her on wedding wire claiming I was never a customer of hers. I submitted multiple receipts (probably about 8 or so) and my review was kept on the page. It seems as though she does this for every bad review that is posted about her since the client only has a small window to submit receipts before their review is removed. I will be more than happy to provide receipts/pictures of my ruined dresses if this helps at all but I highly suggest this boutique is watched with a careful eye and I would appreciate if you keep this review public.
