      I used Ashley Heating for 4 years for regular spring and fall maintenance visits. I was always impressed with them and I didn't have any complaints, recommended them to a few family members as well. With my last furnace maintenance, the technician said there was a crack in the heat exchanger and recommended replacing it. I started the process to get a few bids for replacements. During the process of getting bids, I was encouraged by a friend to get a second opinion on the crack and I had two other companies out that could not find the crack. I called Ashley and spoke with their manager, who firmly stood behind their technician, which I respect, and sent another technician out the next day. The second Ashley technician was unable to find the crack, he found two suspect spots but easily was able to feel them and they were scratches, not cracks. I then didn't hear from the manager for two weeks but did hear from salesman texting to see if I was by chance still interested in replacing my system and I just felt like they were really pressing sales, which really was unfortunate. I called back in and spoke with the manager and expressed my overall concern with the situation and I hope that this doesn't happen to others in the future. Hopefully, they can look at some processes and continue to improve. In summary, if they recommend any replacements, I'd recommend a second opinion from another company to verify. There is no doubt in my mind that Ashley Heating does good work but I do not have full faith in their practices and I'll be switching companies.
