Complaint: I bought a *** from ACC and was told it was inspected at auction. I was told I would have a copy of the inspection soon but that it wasn't available at the time of purchase. I only purchased this car because of this alleged inspection. This was in September and, as of today, I have been given no inspection. Right after I got the car, it stopped running and ACC had it in their shop for about a month. Whenever I asked if I could just trade the car for something else, they insisted it was an easy fix. I finally got it back and it was immediately taken to the *** dealership because it stopped running again. I have paid $3500 for repairs, plus I'll need another $1500 to finally fix it. I'm also paying $375 a month on the car payment and I had to pay $300 to have an axle boot fixed that ACC PUT IN WRITING that they would pay to have fixed. The *** dealership told me with the various problems (including a very leaky transmission AFTER ACC had supposedly fixed it), that there is no way this car would have ever passed inspection (and based on me never getting a copy of an inspection, I'm inclined to believe them). Additionally, ACC says I declined their warranty. That is untrue. I was never offered a warranty. I asked for and wanted a warranty to avoid this exact situation and none was offered. So I didn't decline it - I just had no other option. I cannot afford to keep pouring money into this car and if ACC had been honest with me before I bought it, I wouldn't be in this situation. I know if I give it back to them, I'll have a repo on my credit and then not only will I still have to pay whatever difference is left if they even can resell it, but that I won't be able to go get another car so I can get to work. I'm a single mom. I depend on having a car I can trust. But I can't pour every cent I have into a car that they know wasn't something they should have sold to me in the first place.
Desired Settlement: I would like them to help me. I need to either have this car completely fixed without having to sink another penny into it (and in a timely fashion ... it hasn't worked for 3 out of the 4 months I've had it), have them let me trade it for something else they have or let me give it back to them and not in a way that would completely destroy my credit. I'm a good person with good credit and I don't deserve any of this.
Business Response: I was unaware that this customer was having further problems with her vehicle. I have been in contact with her, and we are in the process of resolving the issue.
