Complaint: Purchased a new volkswagen touareg from boise volkswagen and later discovered left front fender had been damaged and repainted. Color of fender is off and so is refit. I was not told of this damage and repair.
Desired Settlement: Should be compensated for reduced value.
Business Response: The offer through customer assistance was for VW of Boise to deliver a loaner to the customers location and pick up the poorly repaired product, bring the product back to Boise and have it repaired. Then return the repaired product to the customer location and drive the loaner vehicle back. Customer assistance advised VW Boise this offer was declined. VW of Boise has tried to contact the cutomer by cell phone. VW of Boise left a message the message was not returned. VW of Boise at this time is unsure as to what the customer would like us to do to reslove this issue.
Consumer Response: I do not want boise vw to do any further repairs. I want $3,000 for decreased value and the fact that I was deceived. I have already spent hours buffing over spray (probably from contact form dirty tarps) from the car. We had to take the car back in to dealer the afternoon we bought it and again the following morning to have windows scraped as this unknown film would not wash off. If I can't live with the repair job I will have it fixed myself.
BBB's Final Determination: After reviewing the position of all parties, BBB determined that the business made a reasonable offer to resolve the complaint. However the consumer did not accept the offer.

Complaint: I over 2 months ago purchased a vehicle from this dealership. Since then the car has no title, is not registered, has no pink slip, yet I am still making payments on a car that is illegal to drive. I have called over 10 times, only to be brushed off or told they will call me back with more information. I have driven from Oakland to Boise twice, trying to resolve this issue only to be treated with contempt and rudeness. I have been on the phone with the DMVs of California and Idaho, apparently my car is not only not registered, but not even in the system, the VIN number does not exist in any database, nor is my name attached to owning any car. According to the DMV and the VW of Boise dealership they sent my paperwork late, and to the wrong location. My title and information is currently lost in the mail, and not in the hands of anyone, including VW, VW of Boise, mine, or any DMV. When confronted with this information the VW of Boise dealership proceeded to blow me off and rudely say there is nothing they can do, after I just purchased a car for over $30,000. According to them even though they made this mistake, it was not their problem to deal with. I have called and called to receive some resolution, but now after dealing with this hell and making payments on a car I can't legally drive, I want my money back. And I want everyone to know not to give this horrendous dealership any business. I have never been treated so poorly in my life.
Desired Settlement: I desire my money back on the car. I want to return it with a full refund, after this **** I have been put through, I am done with this car, and this dealership.
Business Response: We registered the vehicle in Idaho instead of California.
While the VW Boise dealership finally did deliver new paperwork (it took them 10 minutes of their time), meanwhile it took me 3 (900 mile) visits, complaining to VW, over 8 phone calls to the dealership, over a dozen calls to the DMV, and a complaint on BBB, ontop of me be driving my car illegally and making payments on a car I had no proof of owning for over 3 months, for the dealership to take action and not disregard my concern, pleas for help, or receive any customer service. To their illegal actions over the course of these months, and horrendous treatment, and as a customer who purchased a car, I demand my money back. It shouldn't take 3 months of complaints, and declaring the illegal actions this dealership has taken to do their job.
BBB's Final Determination: After reviewing the position of all parties, BBB determined that the business made a reasonable effort to address the complaint. However the consumer remains dissatisfied.
