When purchasing cosmetics and/or perfumes, it’s not necessarily good to skimp on costs. Lots of deals can be found online, at flea markets or even mall kiosks, but messing with one’s skin and especially health is never a good idea.

The FBI issued a warning, last month, about the dangers of purchasing knock-off, name-brand products. The trouble is, if you purchase something online, at the mall or wherever, how do you determine if the product is genuine? If the product says Ulta, for example, shouldn’t it be Ulta? Of course, it should be, but that doesn’t mean that it necessarily is. Websites can market name-brand products at deeply discounted prices, but that doesn’t mean that the seller is reputable or has good business ethics.

An easy way to find out if a company is reputable is to check our reliability reports. Go to www.bbb.org, type in your location and the name of the company or their website. If we don’t have online information on them, give us a call. This could be a red flag. It may not be, but until one of our representatives checks into it, we cannot be for sure.

Be safe with your purchases! If you’re going to wear sunglasses, do it for a good reason like the sun being out! Avoid cosmetics that will cause “this” type of a reaction. Know who you are buying from. Don’t just assume the seller is trustworthy!
