Mailer promotions are being received from car dealerships, where a person can scratch off boxes to win a Grand Prize. The prize might be thousands of dollars, lottery tickets, a new car, an iPad or other miscellaneous items. All one has to do is scratch off the winning numbers. Some of these promotions can be quite misleading. One might be led to believe that they won $20,000 because the mailer actually states, “If your scratch-off reveals three $20,000 bingo balls, YOU HAVE WON!” Of course, on other parts of the mailer it says to call the store for details. When a person goes to the dealership that is the dealer’s opening to make a sale, and the prize may be somehow tied into that sale. To be sure though, call the store for details and be sure to read any fine print for limitations and exclusions to the offer.
