What makes this smart a little extra for me is that back in January I wrote a consumer column about the importance of strong passwords – using a mix of letters, numbers and symbols. It was a pretty good column, too. Unfortunately, the one person who should have taken it to heart – me! – didn’t.
I bring this up because maybe you’re thinking you’re invincible, too. That of all the email accounts in the world, why would anyone pick yours? The question, of course, is why wouldn’t they?
