Less than two months after announcing its plans to acquire photo app company Instagram for $1 billion, Facebook has released an iOS app that looks and functions almost identically to Instagram’s, reports Mashable.
The new app, Facebook Camera, looks and feels like Instagram, but works to offer several added bonuses to the current Facebook photo uploading for iPhone and iPod touch users. Now, instead of only being able to upload one photo at a time, the new Facebook Camera app allows users to upload multiple photos simultaneously to Facebook. And just like Instagram, users can rotate, crop and add filters to your photos. Users can also see a feed of their friends’ pictures in one place directly with the app.
Does this sound like an app you’d want to use? Has Facebook created one too many apps at this point? Or will this come as a welcomed change to the world of photo uploading and sharing? Jury’s out Facebook, show us what you’ve got!
